71 winners in the 26th session of the Sharjah Award for Excellence in Education

The Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence revealed the winners of the award categories in the 26th session, as the Sharjah Private Education Authority ranked in the first place in the award winning categories, with 16 winners, out of 71 winners, followed by the Ministry of Education, School Operations Sector, Council 3 with 11 winners, then the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai with 9 winners. In the third place, the Ministry of Education, council  2 with 8 winners, then the Private Education in Ministry of Education with 6 winners, then Abu Dhabi Department of Education with 7 winners, also the Ministry of Education council 4 and council 1 won the same number of winners 4, then the Ministry of Education Council 4 and council 6 with one winner, and Council 6 with one winner, and institutions  Supportive to education is one winner, out of 320 who applied to participate.

The Secretary-General of the Sharjah Education Council, Muhammad Al-Mulla, announced in a press conference held remotely that the award for individuals and institutions supporting education went to the General Command of Dubai Police - Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic and Training Affairs "Hemaya" Education Office - "Hemaya" Schools, while the Sharjah Private Education Authority was chosen as the best institution In terms of the number of participations, which amounted to 88 participants and the 16 winners, the Ministry of Education, School Operations Sector Council 3, which reached 51 participants, and 11 winners.

Mr. Al-Mulla emphasized the high rate of participation in the current session compared to the previous one, which reached 575 in the first phase filtered  to 320 participants, in addition to its diversity, which gives an indication of the extent to which the award has evolved with each passing session, and its transformation into one of the most important strategic pillars of knowledge in the Emirate of Sharjah, the Emirate of Science and culture.

For her part, Khawla Al Hosani, Chairman of the Award Judging Committees, praised the sponsorship that the award receives and the great interest in the field, which reflects the reason for the growing number of entries, stressing that the Sharjah Prize for Educational Excellence, which cut off a quarter of a century by a year, constitutes a strong incentive for creativity and competition for the sake of science, praising its tangible impact. On the educational process, as it is an important tributary that enhances aspects of distinction, creativity and giving in this vital field that our country has not been stingy with - support and follow-up.

It stated that the number of participants in the award categories according to the regions reached 320, topped by the Sharjah Private Education Authority with 88 participants, then the Ministry of Education, School Operations Sector, Council 3 with 51 participants, and the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi with 50 posts, followed by the rest of the authorities, and the number of winners included 5 winners in The fourth grade has 5 winners in the fifth grade and 5 in the sixth grade, 4 winners in the seventh grade, 3 in the eighth grade, and 5 winners in the ninth grade .. As for the tenth grade, there are 3 winners, and in the eleventh grade there are 4 winners and 5 winners in the twelfth grade, and in the distinguished student category From the special classes 3 students were selected.

In the distinguished applied educational research category, the Ministry of Education - Private Education won the award for a research entitled The Effectiveness of a Program for Reducing Psychological Stress in Mothers and Improving Social Interaction for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Country by Moza Saif Al Darmaki, and a second research by Ashraf Muhammad Hussein entitled The Effectiveness of a Training Program Based on Some educational strategies in treating reading comprehension difficulties among fifth-grade students of learning difficulties at Al Ain Education Office, and a paper by Maryam Salem Al-Badwawi dealing with the reality of high school teachers ’practice of self-evaluation strategies.

The“ Distinguished Project ”category, was won by the“ Al Ghafia Camp ”project for Al Ghafia Basic Education School in Sharjah. And the music band project for the protection schools of Hemaya schools - Dubai Police.

As for the distinguished school category, our own English school, Sharjah for boys, the girls’ branch, and the Emirates National Schools - Abu Dhabi.

And in the Distinguished Family category, three families won, and in the nursery category The Outstanding Children’s Nest Nursery from Abu Dhabi won the award and Al Falah Governmental Nursery in Sharjah.

In the category of the Learning Resource Center, Rawda Al Mansouri from Ghayathi School for Basic Education won, for the category of Special Education Teacher Majed Fathallah from the Early Intervention Center, and 6 of the teaching bodies won the Distinguished Teacher Category Award, namely Nema Al Habsi from Al Dhait Elementary School and Noha Hussein Hassanein School Al-Wathba and Sama Zaki, Al-Manar Model School, Ayman Ibrahim Al-Naqib, Shakhbout Bin Sultan and Leila Ahmed Al-Hammadi School, Asia Bint Muzahim Model School, and Khaled Abdul-Azim Al-Qarain Primary School.

In the category of the best Cluster manager, Amina Al-Alili and Kaltham Al-Ghuwais Al-Suwaidi won, while four parent councils won the Sharjah Private School Council, Al-Ruya School Council, a second cycle, Al Majd Model School Board, Mushairef School Board for Basic Education, and Ibn Sina School Council.
