The Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence acknowledges this category and requires participant teachers to underscore their distinguished performance, effective leadership, professional development, creativity and innovation in the job, and social responsibility. All teachers from kindergarten to the twelfth grade with various specializations in public, private, and applied technology schools are eligible to nominate for this category.

This category targets all employees of support jobs in the public and private sectors; including laboratory specialists, learning resource specialists, special education specialists, academic advisors, social workers, psychologists, nurses, behavior officers, security and safety officers, and secretaries. The candidate must have worked in one of the supporting jobs for a period of no less than two continuous years related to the year of candidacy.

This category is the main focus of the award since its launch in its first session, all students from grade 3-12 or year 4 to 13* in UAE public and private schools and in applied technology high schools are entitled to apply for the award to demonstrate evidence of academic excellence, talents, hobbies, digital competencies, innovation and creativity, and social responsibility. (*year 4 to 13:For schools that follow the British curriculum)

The UAE provides care for people of determination in all fields and at all levels through empowering and supporting them, especially in the field of education. Since its launch, the Award has been keen to ensure that this category demonstrates their distinction, innovation, abilities, and distinguished participation in social events. This category includes grade 3 to 12 or year 4 to 13* students (people of determination) in public and private schools and in centers for special needs.
